The portal focuses on various problems prevailing in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in the field of education, social awareness and politics. The overall and vivid objective of the initiative is to make people aware about what’s happening around them at a time when mobile internet is rapidly covering the market of online communication, giving everyone a smooth access to technology.
A team of dedicated social media enthusiasts work 24/7 to update the portal and its social media accounts. It has collected more than 2,000 stories/news updates on various social media accounts and website.
OurKPK.com has a pre-defined strategy for bringing its start-up to the top in the local market through measures such as dedicated time frame for posting on various social media accounts. It enhanced the professional and social life of its members by providing up-to-date information in the form of text, video and pictures, and exercised caution to ensure they do not fall victim to cyber crime. The portal, which was launched in 2013, accumulated almost 2,48,000 ‘likes’ on Facebook by the end of 2015.
“One of the major issues was to get enough audience to boost your social media startup; the problem was solved when some of our post went viral on internet and we received countless members in few weeks. The most challenging job is to get authentic contents because it will be delivered to 0.25M members,” says Abdul Muqsit, co-founder, OurKPK.com
